Who can participate and how much does it
cost?
Fees for direct instruction have always been
assigned individually. They’re based on ability to pay and on each woman’s
objectives. Fees are also the least favored way of making compensation for
instruction. We prefer that women who are given this instruction and
guidance offer support in turn to other women who are in need of support and
help (much as we are doing with this website). In some cases, fees are waived
in favor of charitable donations made to mutually approved, tax-exempt
organizations. A decision is usually made after the first few weeks whether or
not a woman can benefit from this experience and no fees are levied until that
time. No woman has ever been turned away because of inability to pay.
The most common reasons for declining a woman’s wish to
participate are lack of apparent benefit; cynicism; disobedience; dishonesty;
lack of intellectual skills; drug or alcohol abuse; and, above all, the
inability of this project to accommodate more than a few participants at a
time. Physical appearance is irrelevant to the instructional process, but
perceived physical, emotional or other impediments to obedience must always be
considered.
Effective July 2004: At present, new participants are discouraged from
asking for direct guidance from the primary instructor, although exceptional
requests will always be considered. A woman whose marriage is threatened
because of some aspect of submissive need will be a likely candidate for direct
instruction. In almost all cases, the project’s monitoring
process is an effective way of gaining useful experience and insight.
