he purpose of this website is to provide
information about The Submissive Wife Project, not to recruit participants. (A short digression
about that term. By “participants” we mean those who are given direct access to
the Project’s guidance, not those who may participate in our online
discussions or those who may pursue one of the volunteer-assisted modes of formation. As a
Project, we are a small community without resources sufficient to accommodate
many additional participants. Almost all full participants maintain some
ongoing relationship with the Project. Therefore, admission as a full Project
participant is extremely limited and we do not permit casual participation in
the Project at all. )
Current and previous Project participants help and
occasionally mentor participants in the online community (see below) under supervision. We have no
institutional or professional affiliations. Neither this Project nor any of its activities pretend to
provide competent, professional therapy or counseling of any kind. The contents of these pages are intended to offer
information only. We very strongly urge you to find ways of exploring
submission with your partner alone, if possible. If you feel you need
professional advice, please seek that help from a qualified professional, not
from a web site such as this one.
Always, you are free to contact
us. Your correspondence will be treated as confidential and you will
receive a reply from the site administrator or from a website monitor, usually
a current or past participant and a married woman like yourself.
The online community:
For many, the best way to comprehend the principles of the
Project is to explore these pages and to participate in our online community. Community membership
is limited to adult women only and all
applicants are screened by personal contact before access may be given. Community
“participants” are different from Project “participants,” but both meet in the
online community. However even participation there may be difficult for many. Like
the Project itself, it is certainly not
for every woman. The Project and its associated community are both best
suited for intelligent women who sense a growing desire to be submissive but
who lack resources, community and support helpful to understanding. The prevailing
culture is not particularly welcoming to “traditional” sex roles.
The online community allows for a discussion of various
approaches to submission, some of which are contrary to the Project’s own
views. Both full Project participants and non-participants If you wish to share
your thoughts and experiences, join the
discussions with participants and non-participants alike in the online community. For more
details on the community’s resources, please click here. Caution: Many
of the community’s discussion areas touch on the topic of sexuality. Sexual
submission is but one context for personal surrender, however, and other
contexts are explored both in the Project and in the online community.
The Project and its associated online community are not the only
resources available to women who have discovered the instinct for surrender, of
course. There are thousands of websites addressing this topic, but few are
useful. We suggest you may find someone interested in helping you closer than
you think, especially if your interest is more narrowly focused on the
intellectual or spiritual aspects of submission. Your husband, a clergyman or other
trusted friend might be willing to help you explore the more academic,
theoretical aspects of surrender. Feel free to use our text resource page as a starting
point for your own journey. This is an interesting journey. If we can help you along
your way, we will. Just write to us by clicking on the link below.
