i am pleased to announce the dates of our next retreat, March 5-7. We will continue the exploration of constant arousal, its rewards and challenges, and how it impacts awareness and watchfulness.

i'd like to come of course. However, i have already committed to a retreat for my business the following weekend in OH and i'm just not sure how to do both (a lot of traveling, i live in Indiana).

i wish Baltimore were closer to Indiana on the map.

It's wonderful to hear that you might be joining us!

The dates of the next retreat are March 5 - March 7. We'll meet from Friday at 5 p.m. to Sunday at 2 p.m. and our retreat house is located in Baltimore. i will post more details about the retreat later this week.

Retreat Two theme: Continuing the exploration of constant arousal

Retreat goal – the group intention: To foster an understanding of constant arousal as a manifestation of watchfulness and awareness.


Friday


Discussion 1: Introduction and a summary of the first retreat. What did we learn? What have you brought with you (expectations, hopes, etc). Who is everybody?

Discussion 2: What does the Project mean by constant arousal?

Dinner

An individual intention for the weekend.

Discussion 3: Impediments to arousal.

After dinner: Drinks.

Discussion 4: Practical approaches to arousal.



Saturday:


Yoga: 8-10

Breakfast

Discussion 6: The Way of the Pilgrim.

Lunch

Discussion 7: The role of meditation and reflection in arousal.

4:30-6: Meditation, reflection, private time.

Dinner at a restaurant and mini-tour of Baltimore.

Discussion 8: The role of transparency in arousal.

Drinks. Informal chat.

Discussion 9: Falling into arousal

Dear mary,

Thank you for your interest! It is definitely okay to attend even if you did not attend the first retreat.

An initial deposit of $50 will hold a place. The total suggested donation for the retreat is $199. ($249, for non-members of our community or if reserved less than seven days in advance.) Limit: Eight.

Location: The retreat house is located near Baltimore's Inner Harbor and historic Union Square. The city is filled with exciting restaurants and brilliant museums, and there will be time to explore. Lodging in the retreat house is informal, but comfortable, and for women only. For those wishing more private accommodations, or for those traveling with family or partners, a bed-and-breakfast is nearby and so is a Hilton and a number of other similar hotels. Transportation from BWI is provided.

Women who are not community members may also attend. A screening process, similar to that used for community admission, will be required. An understanding of Project principals is required. Please write admin@submissivewife.org and include contact information.

How often are there weekend retreats? Where are they located and what is the cost involved? I would love to attend something like this. Very exciting!!!

Thank you for your interest! How often? That varies but i am planning to host the next one in May (still working on the dates). They are held in our house in Baltimore, MD and the cost for the weekend is $199. This includes a pick-up from an airport or train station, most meals (we eat out on Saturday night), and lodging (nothing fancy but it works ).

i will post information as soon as i have dates, hopefully within a few days. The topic will be "the anatomy of our arousal." We'll have the opportunity to learn more about our bodies. The benefits to better understanding how our bodies work are tremendous. And we will have fun doing it!
