Disciplines | Calendars & Journals for Monitored Members

T

he calendar is one of the online tools used, in part, to instruct participants about the need to be accountable and transparent. But it can also have value for women who are monitored members of the project as well as those committed to Community Monitoring. The calendar functions as a kind of annotated diary: In general, the more detail the it contains, the more useful it becomes both to you and to your monitor. The calendar also allows you to keep a document that charts the trajectory of your formation and helps your understand the progress you are making.

The calendar is often paired with a blog-journal which allows for even more opportunities for self-expression and reflection.

§       Click here to access the calendar feature supported by yahoo.com. Registration is required. We suggest using a name not traceable to you. To configure your calendar properly for monitoring purposes, please click here.

§       Community members may be given private, non-searchable, permanent journaling areas on a server used by the Project, subject to available space. These are of two types: One for monitored members, with access restricted to a single member and her monitor. The other is for those involved in the community monitoring process, in which case admission to the Community Monitoring area is required.

Once you have launched your calendar and/or journal and configured it to allow monitoring both viewing and commenting, give the URLs of the pages you have built to those who may need it (either in the Community Monitoring area or directly to your private monitor). Please note that non-members (ie, partners, husbands, boyfriends or anyone not a registered, active community member) may not be granted access to your private journals (or to any area of the community not available to the public) under any circumstances.

D

o not list your journal in any blog directory and do not use any last names or other identifying factors (i.e., churches, business establishments, schools, etc.) in your entries. Also, do not use the name of this Project or the name of your mentor or monitor in your journal. If you require assistance in creating these, consult the blog or calendar provider’s support page or the configuration information page we have provided. If that isn’t helpful, ask your mentor or monitor or, as a last resort, post an enquiry in the Submissive Wife Community Monitoring area asking for assistance, but do remember that we are not in the technical support business.

Monitored members only: Only calendars and journals updated at least twice a day can be monitored. It is not possible to monitor the personal pages of casual visitors to the Submissive Wife Forum. For additional information on modes of formation, most of which involve the use of calendars, click here. Non-monitored members seeking Community Monitoring should keep calendars current to encourage collaboration.

This is adapted from a private discipline page of the Submissive Wife Project and has been sent to you for your use only. It is not to be forwarded, copied or otherwise shared.
